Time surely flies by when you are having fun…

↔
We cannot believe it… CAL Swim School Summer Swim Camp is almost over…
(no need to panic!) We will be back next year! In the mean time, our non-summer swimming programs available at our selected venues will surely keep everyone swim-satisfied all year round (more information on that soon!)…
So Anyway, before the summer ends we are gathering potential competitive swimmers from our different venues to compete against each other (for fun of course!), there will be prizes for winners, fun and games, and lots of picture taking! It will be a day of making a splash and having fun, the CAL Swim School style! And with the swim meet we will award the graduates of our swim programs their certificate of completion, hence, the first of many celebration:

Swimming with JB Walsh
In swimming… there’s nothing like a good inspirational experience like bringing-in an Olympian/SEA Games “superstar” or a “be-medalled” swimmer to swim with the younger athletes. Meeting and greeting someone in person who shares the same sport as yourself is always a great experience (especially for the kids). They will definitely look up to him/her. They’ll admire them and make them their sporting idol.
.
In a span of 2 months CAL SWIM SCHOOL organized “Swim with the Olympians: Seminar Series” with of course the help from our friends from PASA (many many thanks!). Last December after the SEA Games, We swam with Daniel Coakley (the South East Asian “Sprint King”), Miguel Molina (the “MVP”), and now JB Walsh (the SEAGames record holder for the 200m butterfly and the first Filipino to go under 2-minutes in the same event). Surely, like the previous olympians who visited us, we enjoyed having JB swim with our aspiring and future Pinoy “World Class” Swimmers.
Pretty Technique = Pretty Fast (Swim with Migs–Philippine Winning Spirit Clinic)
hhhmmm… So where do I begin…
…
Ah yes! Our friend Miguel Molina is an accomplished Filipino swimmer who has competed and won various local and international swimming competitions. His most notable achievement came during the 24th South East Asian Games held in Thailand in December 2007, where he was named Most Valuable Athlete!–He is only the second Filipino to be given the award, the other being Philippine swimming legend Eric Buhain.
..
He swims with us in Ayala Heights everytime he visits Manila. We had a pictorial with him just before the Beijing Olympics 2008… “a day in the life of Miguel Molina” a profile photo-shoot. With all his achievements and success in and out of the water–he is by far the most-humble and most-awesome swimmer we know and the kids look up to him↑.
.
We invited Migs to give a seminar about his experiences & adventures in swimming and other walks of life just after last’s year SEA Games where he defended his favorite events–the individual medleys… Last year, January 22nd at Ateneo de Manila LS pool, PASA & CAL Swim School was proud to present:
“Swim with Migs”— The Philippine Winning Spirit Clinic.
Take a look..
…
We would like to thank Miguel Molina for taking time to give an inspiring experience for the kids and coaches. We would also like to thank everyone who helped making the event happen and of course the ones who joined our day with Migs. God Bless and Good Luck! MABUHAY ANG MALALANGOY NA FILIPINO!

Coakleys’ Journey to the Olympics – A Presentation
Dear Coaches, Swimmers, Team Owners, and Parents…
.
CAL Swim School would like to invite you to a once in a lifetime presentation of the journey of Daniel Coakley (Southeast Asia Swim Sprint King) to the Beijing Olympics. With great family support, pride in his heritage, perseverance and determination, Daniel with his Family achieve their dream of representing their country to the Beijing Olympics.
Daniel with his dad and coach, Jeff overcame numerous obstacles to achieve their dream. These include training in an outdated swimming pool, no training partner, lack of high tech equipment/s, and others. We hope that with this presentation we can be convinced (Filipino Swimmers) that we can also achieve the Olympic Dream even with the lack of technological and system support available in the first world countries, and everything we need to succeed is already available to us.
Please find the general details of the seminar below. We will be limiting the participants to 200 as to assure the quality of the seminar. Sponsors and media partners have pledge their support for the event. All participants will be receiving an event shirt, meal, prizes, and other products from our sponsors.
